What We Do

Specification and Design

requirements capture, acceptance criteria, vision statements, conceptual models, structural and compositional frameworks, static and behavioural models.

Development and Delivery

prototyping, integration, implementation, installation and configuration.

Strategy and Approach

selection and use of relevant open standards and open source components.

Legacy Systems Analysis

the extraction of intellectual property about the design intent, functional and non-functional requirements, conceptual data structures, business rules and latent architectural mechanisms from legacy undocumented systems.

Process Re-engineering

re-interpreting the way in which automation and decision making occurs within organisations.

How We Do It

The organisation operates under an associate model whereby it brings in senior talent on an as needed basis to perform required assignment activities. The engagement model is currently centred on the appointment of a key Method Maker associate to a project management and/or architectural design role which may unfold into design, development and delivery responsibilities associated with the assignments longer term objectives.

The unified modelling language [UML] is an IT standard that covers the notational and semantic specifications of a system. It allows requirements, tests, designs, implementation and deployment decisions to be captured and maintained in a common format. Used correctly it improves the efficiency, accuracy and speed of delivery and reduces the risks of ambiguity and misunderstanding to arise on a project. Method Maker is a leading proponent of UML based development techniques and practices both in NZ and around the Asia Pacific area.
